MS/MS in Emergency Medicine is done in two institutions.
- Ziauddin Hospital Karachi.
- Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences. Islamabad.
FCPS in Emergency Medicine.
College of Physicians and Surgeons approved Emergency Medicine training in 2010. The first two institutions who got accredited by the CPSP were Aga Khan University Hospital and Shifa International Hospital. It was 2011 and CPSP approved initially Emergency Medicine as 4 year training program. The duration of the training was revised by the CPSP and made a 5 years training program. The reason was that the College considered 4 years not enough time for the doctors to become adequately trained in EM, and the 5th year will give them an edge to be mature and be a safe doctor. The first three supervisors who started the program were:
Dr. Nadeem ullah Khan. AKUH
Dr. Abdus Salam Khan. SIH.
Now the total number of supervisors as of now has climbed to more than 20. LIST.
The College of Physicians and Surgeons created the faculty for the Emergency Medicine where all academic and other decision making has to take place and its first Dean was Dr. Nadeemullah Khan. Currently the Dean of faculty is Dr. Abdus Salam Khan.
Since the training has begun, about 15 doctors have completed the training and also has cleared the examination of Part II and has been bestowed to become FCPS in Emergency Medicine. About the same number has finished the training and will be appearing in the examination in near future.
First few Fellows in EM include.

- SHAHAN WAHEED
- FAREED AHMED
- NOMAN ALI
- SHAHID WAHEED
- SOHAIB HAIDER HASHMI
- ANIQA BANO
