Pakistan Society of Emergency Medicine is holding its election. Its a great moment for all of us. The struggle to establish EM in Pakistan will be strengthened due to this historic event.
COVID has called down most of the activities yet it brought out and highlighted the role of Emergency Departments and trained doctors and nurses to treat patients at the front door of the hospital. Equipped with right mindset there is nothing better than a trained Emergency Doctor when you are sick.
Keeping this in mind the doctors and nurses who work together at the national and international level wanted the best for the people of Pakistan through developing Emergency Medicine as specialty.
The stage is getting set and soon we all will be voting electronically. The winning people will take the torch from the last cabinet and start the journey. We have covered some ground and we are excited as there is plenty to do a lot to cover. But one thing is certain. We all are not giving up when it comes to developing Emergency Medicine in Pakistan.
