End of an ERA in Emergency Medicine.
The sad demise of Dr. Seemin Jamali closes an important chapter marred with courage, dedication and determination. It shines for countless people to see their way clearly in healthcare arena, and gives hope and encouragement to doctors to stand their ground and work with dedication and team work.
Dr. Seemin was the mentor to plenty and role model for countless. She was the Iron Lady of healthcare and example for not just doctors, but paramedical staff and others.
Rest in peace with blessing from Allah. May your dream of provision of Quality Emergency Care to all citizen of Pakistan be fulfilled soon.

More locally trained Emergency Doctors:
FCPS in Emergency Medicine was achieved by six more doctors. Slowly the fruit of the efforts started more than a decade ago are available. We have about 15 trained doctors who are FCPS in Emergency Medicine and all of them are our own local trainees.
We congratulate the doctors achieving this important milestone not just for themselves but also at the national level.As a country we need trained physicians treating patients in emergency departments across Pakistan. This milestone gives us the energy to continue our struggle and especially work on public sector hospitals to not just hire these trained emergency medicine specialists but also start the training program in these institutions.

While awaiting for the confirmation of Corona Virus, It is reminded to all to be vigilant and also to use universal precaution.
Proper hand Hygiene is a must and also to use as much precaution as you have available. We can minimize the effects of Corona if we all act collectively and responsibly. Please do triage at all emergency departments. Its the most important first barrier to stop the spread of all viral illnesses.
