Help the people affected by the FLOODs in Pakistan.

A dire need for clean water, sanitation and food. Also prevention of diseases as well as managing chronic illnesses.

Similarly start thinking in terms of preventing similar disasters in future and rehabilitation of people in all planes, like social, financial, psychological, and medical.

Its a full circle effort. May Allah help us all.

We all need to take precautions and use face masks, hand sensitization and physical distancing. Combined with caution we can make a difference. All EM physicians need to take precautions.

The ELSI courses were delivered in Multan and Muzaffargarh. Started from Multan on the 2nd and 3rd March 2020, it was a successful event as the doctors and nurses from peripheral parts of Pakistan were involved in learning with hands on techniques and direct consultants teaching.

We appreciate the people coming all the way from Australia and New Zealand and also from within Pakistan.

Crash 3 trial finally got published… From Pakistan more than 4500 patients randomized. Our department was the only people from Emergency Medicine in Pakistan to be the Investigators/collaborators in the study which pertains to head injury… a subject for the Emergency Doctors.

Meeting of President of Pakistan with the PSEM.

Pakistan society of Emergency Medicine along with College of Physicians and Surgeons had a meeting with President of Pakistan on the 7th of October 2019.

The President listened to the updates and concurred that the improving Emergency Care needs to be strengthened and he wanted the PSEM to work with Federal and Provincial health ministries to bridge the gap of the decreased number of trained emergency doctors and the need of the number needed to cater to the population needing emergency care.

Successful Summit.

A very important event unfolded when Pakistan Society of Emergency Medicine in collaboration with College of Physicians and Surgeon Pakistan and International Faculty of Emergency Physicians conducted this summit.

It was called the Leadership Summit meant to improve the Emergency Care to all citizens of Pakistan. It was attended by the key people from the Federal Government including Dr. Nawsherwan Burki, Dr. Taj Hassan, Dr. Junaid Razak, Dr. Shoaib Shafi and Dr. Amir Bilal to name a few.

The summit was preceded by workshop from where a consensus was made regarding the steps and road map of the future of Emergency Medicine in Pakistan.

EMERGENCY MEDICINE SUMMIT 2019.

Emergency Medicine summit will be held on 23 September 2019. It will be a showcase of all important national and International stakeholders and is held with the collaboration between CPSP (College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan), RCEM (Royal College of Emergency Medicine) and PSEM ( Pakistan Society of Emergency Medicine).
